Kaitlyn + Dan's Wedding | Heidel House Resort

Looking back on Kaitlyn and Dan's wedding day the first words that come to mind are LOVE and CONNECTION. Even going further back to their engagement session, Kaitlyn and Dan had undeniable chemistry. Their body language, both on wedding day and engagement session, was something you cannot guide or teach––it was effortless. Kaitlyn's smile was the biggest every time she was near Dan. He would make her laugh and blush constantly and they were always laughing together.

Their ceremony and reception took place at one of our favorite Wisconsin destination venues, Heidel House in Green Lake. The outdoor ceremony overlooked the lake with their closest friends and family surrounding them. Kaitlyn’s dress and bridesmaid’s dresses were stunning and perfect for the flawless landscape. There was so much love and emotion everywhere––at one point almost everyone had tears in their eyes! One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was when Kaitlyn and Dan planted a tree to symbolize their growing and everlasting love. How cool is that?!

After the ceremony it was bridal party time! Beers and drinks were popped and we spent the next couple hours gallivanting around the lakefront. This bridal party was a BLAST! You can see from all of the photos how much laughing and great memories were made. Followed by a delicious meal, heartfelt and humorous speeches, and so much dancing in the reception hall.

We love sunset time because we get to sneak couples away so they can have a moment to themselves and breathe from the fast pace of the day. Not to mention the lighting is always stunning. Luckily, when we went out for Kaitlyn and Dan’s sunset photos, a newlywed couple let us take over their amazing boat! They offered the bride and groom drinks and as much time on their boat as they wanted. Kaitlyn and Dan are HUGE boat people. It was really fun watching them admiring the boat and talking about their love for lake-life. It was honestly perfect.
