We love makeup and hair stylists––they make our brides feel like Beyonce for the day! But as much as we adore them, they can also can ruin a wedding timeline. Make sure to be very clear with your makeup artist the time your hair and makeup need to be complete. Along with your MOH and mother/grandparent/whoever else is helping you put on your wedding dress.
If makeup and hair go late, the entire timeline gets pushed back.
We also like to arrive when the bride is just getting started so we can take photos of the dress + details. Don't worry, there will be no photographs taken of you without makeup on!
If you decide you would like to do a first look, do not forget that is part of the morning timeline. A typical first look takes 15-25 minutes depending on location.
First looks with parents is also very popular! These only take an extra 5-10 minutes in the timeline and take place after the bride gets dressed.
One of the most important times to remember for photo + video is alotting 2 hours (NOT INCLUDING TRAVEL TIME) for bridal party photos. When light permits, we always like to take couples out 20 minutes before sunset. It's a great time for lighting and gorgeous photos; but also a time for couples to take a breather and just be together. Our couple's say it's one of their favorite times of the wedding––time to decompress from the morning and regain energy for a night of dancing!
